Our commitment
Accessibility includes physical ability, cognitive preference, technical confidence, device, location and language. Chaird treats accessibility as a design obligation, a trust outcome and a practical measure of product quality.
Good design expands participation. An experience that is visually impressive but excludes people is not premium.
Target standard
Chaird is designing and testing this website against WCAG 2.2 Level AA practices. We do not rely on a claim of complete conformance; accessibility is reviewed as an ongoing implementation and publishing responsibility.
Measures we take
- use semantic headings, landmarks, labels and meaningful link names;
- support keyboard operation and visible focus states;
- check colour contrast and avoid relying on colour alone for meaning;
- support responsive layouts and 200% zoom without loss of essential information or function;
- use readable type, line length and spacing;
- aim for touch targets of approximately 44 by 44 pixels for interactive controls;
- provide alternative text or adjacent explanations for informative images and diagrams;
- avoid essential information being available only through animation;
- review forms for persistent labels, clear instructions and recoverable errors;
- test key journeys with automated tools and manual accessibility checks.
Known limitations
Chaird continues to test and improve the website across browsers, devices and assistive technologies. Some issues may only become apparent in particular combinations of technology, zoom, browser settings or assistive software.
Where a complex diagram is difficult to interpret visually, Chaird aims to provide an equivalent text explanation. Where content or functionality creates an accessibility barrier, we will prioritise a practical alternative and remediation.

Please tell us the page or content involved, the issue you encountered and, if useful, the browser, device or assistive technology you were using. We will use that information to investigate and provide a practical alternative where possible.
Ongoing review
Accessibility is reviewed before material website releases and as the Chaird experience evolves. Material accessibility defects are treated as product or publishing defects and prioritised accordingly.
