About Chaird

Why Chaird exists.

Important decisions shape an organisation long after the meeting in which they were made. The knowledge created through those decisions should remain useful, connected and available to the people responsible for what happens next.

The idea behind Chaird

What would governance look like if the organisation could reliably remember?

Organisations invest substantial effort preparing papers, considering evidence, recording decisions and assigning actions. Yet the complete story of a decision is often distributed across systems and dependent on individual memory.

Chaird began with a simple question: what would governance look like if the organisation could reliably remember not only what it decided, but why, under what authority, with what conditions and what happened afterwards?

Our purpose

Preserve governance knowledge for better judgement over time.

Chaird exists to help organisations preserve the knowledge created through governance and use it to support better judgement over time.

The company is exploring a connected governance platform designed around decisions, their context and their consequences.

The perspective behind Chaird

A technology and operating-model perspective, developed with governance practitioners.

Chaird has been developed by an Australian technology and transformation leader with more than 15 years of experience helping organisations understand complex work, improve decision processes and implement enterprise technology.

That experience has shown how often important organisational knowledge becomes fragmented across systems, documents and people. Chaird applies a technology and operating-model perspective to that problem while recognising that governance expertise must be developed with practitioners, advisers and participating organisations.

How Chaird is being built

Define. Test. Partner. Build. Learn.

01

Define the thesis

Develop a clear view of the problem, platform, trust principles and proposed experience.

02

Test the evidence

Conduct structured conversations with governance practitioners and organisations.

03

Work with Design Partners

Explore selected problems and use cases in greater depth.

04

Build the smallest valuable product

Prioritise evidence-backed needs rather than the broadest possible feature set.

05

Learn through use

Measure outcomes, preserve decisions and improve the product over time.

Principles

How Chaird intends to operate.

Governance should remember

Important decisions should retain their context and consequences.

Evidence before assertion

Claims and product priorities should be supported by research and experience.

AI assists people

Technology should improve understanding without replacing human authority.

Trust is designed early

Permissions, privacy, traceability and accountability are foundation requirements.

Build with practitioners

Governance expertise cannot be inferred from software design alone.

Clarity over performance

Chaird should be transparent about what is defined, proposed and proven.

Current stage

Public foundations now. Customer discovery next.

Chaird is currently completing its public foundations and preparing for customer discovery. The platform is not yet commercially available.

The immediate priority is to learn where the connected governance thesis creates the strongest practical value and which problems should shape the first product scope.

A company designed around organisational memory should be deliberate about what it learns and what it claims.
